In total, Pangea now speaks 543 languages! |
Since its inception, Pangea was intended to be a typeface that was omnicultural and multilingual. And true to form, it is leading the way with its latest language extension.
Thanks to native designers, Azza Alameddine, Yanek Iontef and Daniel Grumer, Christoph Koeberlin’s versatile and much-loved by brands, Pangea, now speaks Arabic and Hebrew. Pangea Arabic and Pangea Hebrew are standalone fonts but are included as part of the standard package which also includes Latin, Cyrillic, Greek and Vietnamese. In total, Pangea now speaks 543 languages!
All existing users can download the expanded fonts free of charge by logging into their Fontwerk account. For new purchases, the price remains the same. But that’s not all: more support for other languages is coming soon.

“The fact that Turbine can be used in both B2B and B2C, is easy to read and has a clean and modern aesthetic made me choose it.” — Merve Gülay, Agency Founder and Creative Director |
As a producer of plasters and bandages, Turkish-based b-good’s sales multiplied during the pandemic. This led to the launch of their sister brand b-good care which produces cosmetic products. With this rapid evolution from B2B to B2C business, a revamp and revision of b-good’s visual identity was needed.
Creative Director, Merve Gülay was tasked with the design and creation of the new visual identity for b-good and she chose Turbine by Felix Braden as the house font.
Turbine’s super elliptical curves, minimal contrast and tight spacing guarantees a serious appearance with a high recognition value. As Gülay explained: “The fact that the typeface can be used in both B2B and B2C, is easy to read and has a clean and modern aesthetic made me choose it.”

After four years of developing brand concepts for others, the Rotterdam Designer Emily van Vught launched her own brand in 2021 called The Spirited Garden, featuring two Fontwerk fonts. © Photo: Sanne Marije Sanders |
Pangea and Nikolai are a match made in typo heaven for the flower essences brand The Spirited Garden. Launched in 2021 by Rotterdam designer Emily van Vught, The Spirited Garden is “where Mother Nature and Design meet” and offers a range of flower essences that are intended to support people in challenging moments
As founder, Emily, explains her choice of typeface, “What I like about Pangea is not only its appearance and legibility, but also the story behind the typeface. A quarter of the designer’s royalties go to climate protection, which for me closes the loop to my natural products.” While, “The quirky Nikolai brings an edgy twist to my brand. She’s feisty, bold and quite far from the visual clichés in mental health or holistic medicine marketing.”

Founded in 2020, Demostack transforms a software-as-a-service (SaaS) product into an easy-to-use demo toolkit for sales teams in a matter of minutes |
Demostack is a simple to use cloud based design tool developed for the Sales, Marketing and Partnership Managers of SaaS companies to help them demo their new services or products.
Across the website, Christoph Koeberlin’s Pangea Text is used for the body copy and buttons while Orbikular by Mark Bloom (CoType Foundry) is used for the headlines.
Thanks to its larger ascenders and descenders, more open forms, light ink traps and “airy” spacing, Pangea Text is perfectly suited for use on websites. In terms of character set, the 10-member family (Light, Regular, Medium, SemiBold, Bold and corresponding Italics) offers everything an internationally oriented startup needs for its business: 8 types of numerals, over 20 currency signs, arrows, symbols and support for over 500 languages, including Pangea Afrikan, Hebrew and Arabic which all launched in the last 12 months.
