From the outset, Christoph Koeberlin wanted his typeface, Pangea, to do things differently, not only when it came to the design but also from the point of view of sustainability. With every purchase of Pangea, Christoph donates 25% of his royalties to the preservation of the rainforest and to large-scale reforestation projects. We are absolutely over the moon to announce that since its launch a year ago, his donation to his chosen charities Trees for the Future, The Green Belt Movement and Fairventures Worldwide has already amounted to 50,000 (!!) trees being planted and 1750 tonnes of CO₂ have been saved.
We are grateful to anyone who has made this possible by licensing Pangea and Pangea Text already. Thank you so much for not only supporting fine type, but also our approach to fight climate change and improve livelihoods. Together we can make the world a better place!

As one of the most legible typefaces of our label, Ika by Jӧrg Hemker really packs a punch when it comes delivering clarity, transparency and simplicity. Its appearance is drawn in equal parts from humanistic, constructed and geometric influences. We are thrilled that the typeface has recently been recognized and shortlisted in three awards.
The D&AD Awards are one of the most prestigious and revered benchmarks for creative excellence in design. Held annually, they are seen as a gold standard in the industry and we are delighted that Ika was shortlisted in the Type Design category.
Hot on the heels of making the D&AD shortlist, Ika has also been commended in the ADC Annual Awards under the Typography category and was awarded a ‘Merit’. Part of The One Club for Creativity, the ADC Annual Awards is the world’s oldest continuously running industry awards show and this year marks their 100th year. The ADC awards celebrate the great and the good across all creative industries from illustration to fashion design, from product design to typography.
Last but by no means least, Ika was also shortlisted in the Modern Cyrillic 2021 Awards. Organized by Paratype, it is an international type design competition that recognizes the best Cyrillic typefaces in the business.
In celebration of the awards success, you can now buy Variable Fonts which are part of the Family Package.

Founded by the Venezuelan Artist Florencia Alvarado, the US Photographer Jeanette Spicer and the Swedish Designer Sara Duell, WMN magazine curates and shares the work of people who identify as lesbian. Their thought-provoking and inclusive publication and brand provides “a much needed space to show the intimacy, struggle, wonder and everything in between, of what it means to be a lesbian in this political climate and time.”
When searching for an impactful and passionate typeface for the brand, they came across Nikolai, our most impulsive font designed by Franziska Weitgruber. The merchandise and products created by WMN (such as the DYKE T-Shirt and DYKE Handkerchiefs) are a fantastic display of how Nikolai performs beautifully when used for logo design or branding.
