Yanone’s comprehensive Sukoon typeface will be joining the Fontwerk family soon. (Photos by Andy Holmes on Unsplash) |
Imbued with a sense of clarity, beauty and tranquillity the gorgeous sans serif, Sukoon by Yanone will be joining the Fontwerk family soon. The name Sukoon is the Arabic word for rest or stillness and reflects the sense of inner peace that its designer wanted to instil in the design. It’s a perfect fit for any branding or visual identity project and also offers comprehensive language support.
Yanone is the designer of the highly popular and very beloved free font Kaffeesatz and FF Amman and he was the brains behind the design of FF DIN Arabic.
On our journey to create fonts that speak many languages, Sukoon will be the second typeface (alongside Pangea) that supports Arabic, Cyrillic and Greek.
If you fancy trying some beta fonts, do get in touch.

The MANA range is just as minimalist as its corporate design: T-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies and jogging pants. |
Based in London, the fashion label MANA was set up by founders Avneet and Sunny as an alternative to fast fashion. At the heart of their business is a mission to create a better, more sustainable future for fashion.
Through the use of sustainable materials and a responsible manufacturing process, they are determined to do things differently. MANA choice of corporate fonts is also very much on trend and on Brand. They use both Pangea (Regular and SemiBold) and Pangea Text (Light). The Pangea Collection chimes with MANA’s design taste and sustainability mission and both Christoph Koeberlin (the designer of Pangea) and the founders of MANA, donate a portion of their proceeds to charitable causes.

As her website is 90 percent text, the visual identity of the Andrea Grudda brand is primarily influenced by Nikolai’s identity. |
As a leading Strategist, Author and Keynote Speaker, Andrea Grudda works with companies to transform the way that they work. She’s also a teacher of Trend Management at the European Media and Business Academy (EMBA) in Düsseldorf and a member of the board of the Flexible Working World Foundation.
Her transformative and original approach to work is also reflected in her new website which is designed by the Düsseldorf-based studio vista. Featuring our very own Nikolai as the font of choice, the unusual design, striking color palette and wonderful choice of typography make her brand and website really stand out. Nikolai was created in 2020 by the Italian designer, Franziska Weitgruber. While Nikolai’s roots lie in the Renaissance, during the course of its creation it has clearly evolved in a more contemporary direction

All of Fontwerk’s typefaces support all Latin-based European languages such as English, French, Spanish, German, Czech, Polish and Turkish. Some families also support Greek, Cyrillic, Arabic or Hebrew. If you need another language or script system, we can make custom fonts for you. From Cyrillic and Greek to Hebrew, Arabic, and Thai, from Chinese, Japanese, Korean (CJK) to Devanagari, we’d love to help your brand speak more languages.
