Joe Stitzlein’s Hamster is a colorful playground for designers. We put in all the paint we could get our hands on. |
Say goodbye to dull and dry typefaces, and hello to Hamster™ – a font unlike any other. Hamster is a two-tone Variable Color Font, bursting with fun!
We worked with one of our favorite agencies, SNASK on a video campaign to welcome our newest addition to the world, head to HamsterFont.com to have a play.
If you’re fed up with the same bland and boring brand identities, Hamster is a joyful and colorful antidote and offers designers a rich playground. Using Color Fonts technology, it’s packed full with nifty tricks, dingbats and even some hamster characters!
The brainchild of world-leading brand identity designer, Joe Stitzlein, Hamster is inspired by the two-tone charm of the pets of his childhood friends and the rodents’ homes (aka ‘habitrails’). Using the tubular shape of the ‘habitrails’, it is a capital display typeface with rounded ends and bold font weights that are reminiscent of the furry creatures’ distinctive chubby cheeks. The lighter weights are less playful and would make for a perfect logotype for young fashion or food brands.
Available in 10 colorways, if you select the lowercase letters they invert the colors for additional variation. You can also determine the coloring individually, for example to reflect the special colors of a brand, event or TV series. There’s also a number of nifty patterns that you create with the special characters. To see the magic of the dingbats in action, we’ve included a few specially made wallpapers that you can download with the trial fonts.

‘Outstanding’, ‘Amazing’, ‘Sexy’
‘I love that microsite!’
‘The widths are killing it!’
Just a few of the lovely things some people have said since we launched Neue DIN! We are so delighted and excited by the reception that Neue DIN and the microsite has received. Thank you so much to all those who have already purchased it or shared the love online. We can’t wait to share some in-use examples soon.

All of Fontwerk’s typefaces support all Latin-based European languages such as English, French, Spanish, German, Czech, Polish and Turkish. Some families also support Greek, Cyrillic, Arabic or Hebrew. If you need another language or script system, we can make custom fonts for you. From Cyrillic and Greek to Hebrew, Arabic, and Thai, from Chinese, Japanese, Korean (CJK) to Devanagari, we’d love to help your brand speak more languages.
